Nick Tobenkin is a Vice President at Federal Advocates, wearing several hats from lobbyist and account manager to chief of staff.
While Nick’s background is in transportation and infrastructure, his experience working with a broad range of clients allows him to fill the role of the “flex player” within the firm to provide insight on different policy issues and utilize his client relationship skills, helping Federal Advocates achieve its 100 percent client retention rate in 2017.
Prior to Federal Advocates, Nick ran his own political consulting firm, Tobenkin Group, where he consulted for political and issue campaigns for various organizations. Before that, during his time as a Policy Associate at Advocacy Associates, he worked with several trade organizations, assisting them in developing, managing, and growing their grassroots networks. He also spent several years advocating on behalf of the American Planning Association on their community development and transportation priorities and has managed the daily operations of The Center for Transportation Excellence.
Nick graduated from the University of California, Irvine, and as an avid surfer, is frustrated by the lack of waves on the Potomac.
